If I wish to cancel my booking is my deposit refundable?
No. Your deposit is a non-refundable deposit.
What is my deposit for?
The deposit is to secure your booking. Your booking is not secure until we have received a deposit.
How can I pay a deposit?
Please give us a call on 02072784335. Ask to speak to the bookings manager, mention your name, party date and that you'd like to pay your deposit. We can take your card details over the phone and process your transaction immediately. Please note for security purposes card details are not saved, and we do not recommend sending them via email.
How is my deposit confirmed?
You will be sent a confirmation email this is proof that you have paid it. This email will also contain all of your booking details.
Can my deposit be affected if the numbers in my party drop?
Yes. We require you to give us as accurate numbers as possible when you make the booking, and to always keep us updated as much as possible when they change. For bookings between 10:30AM-7.30PM we will take £10 from the deposit for each member of the party that has not shown up.
Is there a dress-code?
Dress-code: No sportswear / caps or party paraphernalia.
Are dogs allowed in the cafe?
I'm sorry we do not allow dogs in.
Can you cater for vegetarians or people with dietary requirements such as wheat free?
Yes we can cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten/wheat free, dairy free and perhaps a couple of others if we're asked! Please ask us and ask to see the dietary requirements menu.
Is there disabled access?
There is one step from street level to the shop, a ramp is available on request. The cafe/bar is up 10 steps from the shop and has a hand rail on both sides - we do not have a ramp or a lift available for this. We are happy to help in anyway we can with carrying/lifting. The bar and the toilets are down 12 steps also with hand rails on both sides - we do not have a ramp of lifts for these stairs either.
Can I bring my children?
Children, babies and under 18’s are permitted until 7PM but must be supervised at the table at all times. Badly behaved children, like drunks will be asked to leave. We do not have much space for strollers or perambulators, especially on Saturdays. We have baby changing facilities. None of the 'Do's are suitable for children.
Can we order a Birthday Cake?
We offer a large variety of whole cakes and party food platters - please ask for more details. All cake & food will need to be cleared away by 9.30PM so that it is not danced into the floor. I’m afraid you cannot bring your own cake.
What are your opening hours?
Monday–Wednesday 9:00–23:00
Thursday 9:00–00:00
Friday & Saturday 9:00–02:00
Sunday 10:30–20:00
Entry after 11pm on Friday & Saturdays will be charged at £3 per person.
Can I bring my own drinks or food?
No you cannot bring your own drinks or food, and we do not offer a corkage option. Only in exceptional circumstances may you bring your own food i.e severe nut allergies. Anyone found to be drinking or eating their own things will be asked to leave immediately.
Is there somewhere to smoke outside?
Yes at the front of the premises there is an outside area where you are able to smoke. We ask that you respect our lovely neighbours and try to keep noise levels to a minimum. You cannot take your drinks outside with you at any point.
Is there a cloak room?
Yes. It is Free until 6PM, and £2 an item from 6PM–Close. It is compulsory to check in any bags larger than (hand)bag size and if you have more than one bag.
How do I get my work stocked in your shop?
If you are a designer maker and would like your work to be considered for the shop or walls in DSD please email photos of your products with wholesale and retail prices to design@drinkshopdo.com
How can I apply to become an artist in residence?
If you are interested in our artist in residency scheme then please email us at design@drinkshopdo.com with information about you, your work, style & ideas.
